I really love this layout. It probably took a total of 6 hours. The reason was that the pictures used in this were first and foremost totally in Black and White. So I first imported them into Illustrator, applied a livetrace and then manually vectored the rest, moving around the outlines in and out of Adobe to create what it came up with. At this moment in time, I was really craving a beach in Hawaii so you can see my need for tropics show themselves in this layout. The navigation on the side was inspired this layout I saw on Fandango, where basically a background in the back was very much different from that of the main layout. I really liked the idea of this and thus created this one. But in either case, after I got the basics of the layout down, I added the footer and then coded the side links in CSS. The CSS hovers on the side gave me a lot of trouble, forcing me to create a different stylesheet for IE altogether. I think it works pretty well on Opera though. The idea was to capture the colorful nature of One Piece music, with it’s upbeat soundtrack, and to do so with Soge King since his theme song is the absolute best lol.
Description :
Soge King backwards, crossing his hands, while a palm tree type scenario plays in the background. It’s a really colorful layout really. The footer consists of the Thousand Sunny with Luffy’s hands stretching out to grab his hat.
