Process : This layout actually took a while. First, I cut out Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian from different pictures. Next, I cleaned them up using the smudge tool because the picture itself was incredibly unclean and dirt. Following this I pasted them on a blue background and added a light blue rectanglar stretching iframe to the side of the screen. I also added some spaced lines to give it some body. Next, I placed each of the characters on the side and added the rectangles. Since it looked pretty plain I went back to the original picture and cut out the sea horses, carefully cleaning them with the smudge tool and placing them on the screen. I made them overlapping the rectangles. Since I needed somewhere to put “Mycurry” I used the oval shape, opacified it and put mycurry on it, sort of looking like a serving dish. Next, I added the grass and in order to add some more color added red lines under it matching Ariel’s hair. Finishing this off, I decided to make the links overlaps and used FLW script with some image effects to do so and also with the polygon tool rounded to make flowers that looked sort of like the ones in Ariel’s hair. The blue looked weird in the back so I made some yellow shadow lines facing diagnol and opacified them to show light from above. Next, I added a gradient and then used SERVERAL different colors and used the “liquify” tool to mix them together. Since it looked weird, I used the leaf tool in the Adobe presets to erase some of the liquified colors, and then opacified it. I added some finishing touches, and I was done _!!. Simple and easy!
Description : This layout was basically meant so that I might get in touch with my inner child. When I was little, and still, Little Mermaid was my favorite Disney Movie. I wanted to capture a playful and innocent look so that everyone could see… I wanted everything underwater but still colorful and realistic. “Under the Sea”.
