Process : Let see, the first thing I did here for this layout was that I made boxes to outline the basic area in which the pictures would reside. Then, I made the correct and appropriate size for an iframe that would fit 1024 and be minimal for 800 × 600. Following this, I pain-stakingly went through my gallery and original artbook to pick out various pictures to use. By this time I had a basic idea of what I would make the theme on, though I wasn’t quite sure where to place everyone. After I decided the pictures I fully transparencized all of them to insert in the layout. I placed the characters in boxes and then worked the background around them using self-made patterns, tools, and other such Adobe-Whatnots. I used SEVERAL different fonts to add text around the characters. This was typically hard because I rotated and did everything also. After doing so I distributed the leaves using a default brush in Adobe, I made sure that they matched the size and made sense in every case. I deleted the ones that didn’t really look nice. For the leaves I also sliced some in weird ways to represent Kenshin’s Kenki, since most of you know that his Kenki is so strong that it can split leaves (which he does many times). Hence, that’s where the leaves came from plus they added a nice touch. To finish off the graphics I fixed any unnecessary errors, made appropriate conversions to the html coding, slicing, and overlaps to match. There were several side touches made too :D. S that was the end of that layout. Though I must say I coded everything once and then realized I had the date wrong sigh at least I caught it ;).
Description : This layout was made so that I could match it with GumGum’s layout. I wanted to set everyone in a setting and capture the characters in a mangaka’s view. Although it was hard, I also wanted it to be very interactive since the-oro is my most visited site. The most fun part was the slices that had little comments, like putting your mouse over Sano’s smile stated “Sano Trying to Look All Sexy” etc. But either way, it was to capture the characters but make Kenshin look bad ^_~ without throwing off the whole setting.
