Process :This layout was very very easy. But that was not the point. I basically just cut out the image, and pasted it on a black background and using the line tool I just added lines extending from the side and opacified text. As a hidden attribute, I took the image from the Fubari No Onsen and added it in the middle of the circle opacifying within. The coding however was another matter. The whole layout had over 8 overlaps, all over the circle surrounding Hao and Yoh, they were lightened pieces with the link text, but since they were all odd shapes, I had to code them in by hand. Since I wanted it to work for all resolutions I had to use div id layers with percentage values and that took about 7 hours. It was really hard. But I really loved how it turned out! I am very proud of this layout for that case. Simplicity was an issue, but I think the overlaps and HUGE image really made up for it ^_
Description :The layout didn’t really attempt anything. As soon as I saw this image of Yoh/Hao I immediately fell in love with it. I think it shows how they are essentially the same person, two sides of one coin, which is what made me think of ‘YING YANG’. It was really awesome :D… The overlaps really lightened the layout up and I had never done anything like that before so it was a really big change.
